Ollie is a Giggling Books children's story about a little oyster who longs to play with his friends, but because of physical limitations cannot get around on his own. Ollie is full of self-pity and anger for not having any arms or legs (fins) with which to swim as all of his pals have, and because he disobeys his parents, he gets himself into a very dangerous, "pearl-less" situation in which he almost loses his life to a very bad sea creature. Ollie's rescue requires the participation of the entire community of Sea City. Thanks to all of his friends, his parents and even King Gold Fish, Ollie the Oyster is saved, and he becomes a much better oyster for his ordeal. The Pearl-less Adventures of Ollie the Oyster has three distinct morals that address obedience to parents, doing the best you can with what you have, and the joy of giving. Ollie is Giggling Books' first downloadable children's ebook and it has a couple of unique twists and a very happy ending. |

Little Blue is a tiny airplane who longs to spend time flying all over the sky just like the other planes, but he can't. He is chained to the ground on the side of the runway. Little Blue doesn't know why he is being punished, and he doesn't understand why all of the other planes treat him in such a mean-spirited manner by teasing and ridiculing him. Life at the airport is pretty sad for the little blue airplane, and it even gets worse when he discovers that there will be a big air show held at this airport where all of the planes, except him, will get to participate.
Excitement at the airport grows and grows as the day of the air show approaches. Each day Little Blue sadly watches as the other, bigger planes taxi by him and either snub him or say something mean before they take off to practice the tricks they will be performing during the big event. But all of a sudden, something very, very major happens to completely change everybody's plans---and attitudes--forever!! What is it that happens? And does Little Blue ever get to fly? Oh, wow, this is the good part! Sorry guys, wish I could read it to you, but you're going to have to click here to download this great children's e book and find out what happens to Little Blue. Oh, the moral of this story is terrific! We can all learn from this one. |

School enjoyed author's visit:
The students and staff at Bijou Community School celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 30th. Local author
James Darrough, illustrator Jim Carpenter and Frank Benvenuto, marketing and development, shared and read their newly published book, "The Pearl-Less Adventures of Ollie the Oyster," to students at Bijou Community School.
The book is a delightful story full of moral lessons about friendship and making good decisions. More titles by these great local guys, "Giggling Guys LLC," can be found at www.gigglingbooks.com. The web site is interactive and full of
